Marketing Manager - HGNA, Berkeley

We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our North American team. Reporting to the Publisher, you will have the opportunity to oversee all aspects of marketing and publicity for assigned titles, collaborate across teams on company-wide campaigns and initiatives, and work closely with authors, sales team, and international colleagues.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

- Allocate and manage title marketing budgets

- Create, develop and execute audience focused title campaigns

- Conceive of and create ads, sales collateral, and other promotional items

- Create and share sales collateral across multiple channels

- Seek and develop key channel and retail merchandising opportunities

- Analyse title data and trends to identify growth opportunities

- Communicate and feedback with key internal/external stakeholders regarding campaign plans and performance

- Ideate and execute strategic partnerships, including social media creators and influencers

- Participate in key sales and strategy meetings with internal/external stakeholders

 

We are looking for someone that ticks all or most of the below boxes: 

- Demonstrable experience across the marketing mix, including managing, developing and measuring campaigns
- Ability to work across time zones (PST, EST, GMT, and AEDT) and with stakeholders across the US, Australia and UK

- Strong initiative and judgment

- Results-oriented and able to work equally well independently as well as collaboratively with a team

- Strong communication skills with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings

- Exceptional stakeholder management, including experience with media and/or retail relationships

- Experience in analysis and confidence in presenting recommendations for new platforms, programs, and projects

- Experience in post-performance review

- Quick a developing rapport, making connections and cultivating relationships

- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 

- An interest in book publishing, marketing and publicity ideal
